Real Estate Litigation
Our attorneys have represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of litigation matters related to real property. These matters include commercial foreclosure, breach of contract, and quiet title actions.
Partition cases often involve family members, significant others or business partners who purchase and own a property together. We assist property owners who are dealing with a co-owner who is attempting to do something with the property such as selling the property out from under them or trying to prevent a sale when one should occur. You have a right to bring an action or defend against your co-owner(s) to sell the property and get any mortgages and liens paid off or require the terms of the agreement to be complied with. The law provides that you are entitled to a portion of your attorney’s fees being reimbursed to you. While it is optimal if you are on the title/deed of the property, we regularly represent clients who are not in title or on the deed.
